AnotherGuy's Weblog: Writing Experiment #14 – Re-Write Something

  • Archana · 3 months ago
I don't really consider myself that much of a writer, I just kind of blog post for fun. Highly conversational writing. But I can see how writing experiments like these come handy for aspiring writers to be. :)

On a side note, looking back at old writing is fun in general. I love looking back at old journals/diaries that I kept as a kid. It's usually filled with junk about crushes in middle school, lol, but it's entertaining nonetheless.

    Haha. That's funny.
I suppose if I went back to what my middle-school writing topics were about, I would find a few stories about mud monsters and bicycles. :-P

lol... I'm glad I'm out of that stage. Or maybe not... I just remembered that I wrote three articles about bikes in the last month. Hahaha...

(PS - Thanks for the comment)

This is a good idea. It reminds me of a story by Flannery O'Connor - "The Geranium" It's the first short story she wrote, about an old man who watched as the neighbor put out his flower on a balcony. Later in her life the last thing she wrote was a different version of "The Geranium" called "Judgement Day" which is an expanded and revised version of the original.

I'll have to find a good blog to revisit.
